Making use of both ColorWorks and meditation for healing

Questions and Answers About Effective Use of ColorWorks

I'm so glad so many of you found ColorWorks help part 1 so, well, helpful! If you haven't read that yet, I encourage you to do so.

In that post I addressed THE most common problem people run into when beginning a new visualization - what to do if you're not visual!

I've received a lot  of questions over the years about ColorWorks and the most effective ways to use it each day. I've narrowed those questions down to the ones I've heard most frequently. (Don't panic, the visualization is simple enough, but questions can and do arise from time to time.) I'll address each of them here so you can make the most of this powerful healing tool.

Have a question you don't see listed? Email me! No clue what ColorWorks is? Check it out in the store! Wanna see ColorWorks in action? Reach out for a FREE consultation.

Now, let's get to it!
Question 1:

"When I did the exercise, an area of the body came to mind, and a color seemed to be suggested, but I wasn't certain that was really happening. I felt as though I could have been making it up. How do I know these were correct?"

Answer:
First thing's first. Who knows more about you than you? You have the abilities within yourself to move forward, into a healthy, balanced, happy, and productive life. All the answers, all the information you need about what is best for you is within you. You need just two things:
A way to access the information inside you;
the belief that you're capable of doing it.
As you use this technique the realization that you are capable will develop. Illness and disease are simply a result of storing painful memories. Once you learn how to recognize the cause of pain and remove it, you'll be able to improve your health. Illness, disease, and imbalance need not exist within you!
Question 2:

"I did the exercise, but nothing happened. What gives?"

Answer:
It may seem as though nothing it happening, but that's not the case. Something changed. You may not be able to perceive at this time what changed, or where the change occurred, but something did shift.
Continue doing the ColorWorks process. In about a week, you'll be aware of the change. It would also be helpful for you to write down your thoughts and feelings right after doing the visualization. Take ten minutes to write down whatever comes to your mind at that moment.
Don't judge what you write and don't try to correct or edit it. The writing is for you alone; no one is going to grade it. At the end of a week, read what you've written. You will be surprised at the pattern that emerges!

Question 3:

"I want to work on eliminating depression. My whole body feels depressed. How do I work on my whole body?"

Answer:
Depression is a good example of a "whole body" condition. Pay close attention specifically to how you asked the question of your body before tuning in to your body's response. If you ask your body where the depression is, your body will indicate that it's all through your body. However, if you ask your body where the depression is stored in your body, your body will identify a specific spot. The area of your body indicated then becomes the focus of your work.
Question 4:

"Do I have to turn the cocoon to white? Why can't I just leave the cocoon the color my body wanted?"

Answer:
White is the most effective in cleansing and clearing out the body, even though the color your body requests breaks up the blockage and gets it moving. If you have any experience doing laundry, think of white as the fabric softener in a rinse cycle. White perfectly finishes the work done within you after the color your body chooses to use as "detergent" is complete.
Question 5:

"Help! I asked my body what color it needed to get rid of my headache and it said black! Does that mean I have a brain tumor?"

Answer:
Absolutely not. Your body is not saying you have a brain tumor. Black is not a bad color; it does not mean something bad is taking place. I can not stress this enough. Color is simply a convenient way of recognizing and using vibrations, and no single color is better than another. Your body simple needs the vibration of black. Black is a heavier and slower moving vibration, which is effective at breaking large or solid blockages into manageable pieces.
Question 6:

"After I do ColorWorks, the room is stuffy and uncomfortable. Why is that?

Answer:
What you are recognizing is the old, stale energy you've just moved out. To help remove it from your environment, I suggest using curry. Put about an inch of water in a small sauce pan, bring it to a boil, and add one tablespoon of curry. Stir gently for a few seconds and then walk around the room where you've been working. Direct the steam into the corners of the room.
While you're at it, why not give yourself a fresh beginning by walking throughout the entire house, cleaning out stale energy from the corner of each room with your curry pot?
Question 7:

"I don't actually 'see' the colors my body chooses on the inside of my eyelids, or I only see them sometimes. Am I doing it wrong?"

Answer:
ColorWorks cannot be done wrong. If you do not ever "see" the colors, you may simply be processing through your dominant sense. Read more about dominant senses here. If you see colors only occasionally, your dominant sense may change from time to time or even from day to day! The most important part is to trust the process.
Question 8:

"What if I want to clear out a stressful issue and it's evident that my body isn't ready to let go of it. What do I do?

Answer:
When you can be in a calm place, think of the issue. Ask yourself why you're not ready to let go of this particular issue. As an answer comes to your mind, press gently on your heart and ask if that's the real reason you're not ready to let go. When you come to the true reason you're still holding onto the issue, you'll feel a shift inside yourself. You can then decide the best way to deal with it.
Question 9:

"Is there anything I can do to help deal with a difficult situation in the moment so it doesn't get stored in my body instead of doing the full ColorWorks process later?"

Answer:
You're looking for first aid, and that's a great idea. If you're in a challenging situation, use your time and energy to make what improvement you can in the moment by touching or massaging your Comfort Spot (more on Comfort Spot in ColorWorks Help Part 3!). Later you can handle the balance when you do the ColorWorks process completely!

Well there you have it!
